Presented is a case example on a recent conversion into an outpatient facility in Queens for one of New York’s major healthcare providers.

Summary: This seminar will review major changes to codes that effect healthcare buildings, as well as describe the work of the ICC Committee for Healthcare in the code development process. The presentation will provide information to understand changes for the 2021 version of the IBC, IEBC and IFC, as well as changes coming in the 2024 version. Both could be adopted by the state, as well as localities, in the short term.
